I do not see what else can be done besides replacing this control board.

I had the same problem. Tested the heater unit as per the Tech Data Sheet, and it was fine. Took the top cover off of the machine and sure enough, the heater control card was dangling; both retainer screws had broken and one of the wire harnesses was disconnected.

I put the wires back together and secured the control card to the back of the panel with a couple of cable ties. Washer worked immediately and my wife is very impressed that I fixed the broken washer with 2 cable ties! :-) Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Washer would start (door lock, a bit of water), then stop. Sometimes it would work until the spin cycle then stop. Every once in a while it would start and finish (1 out of 10 attempts)
Error Code : E68
Replaced heater element : no luck
Cleaned the pump trap : no luck

Opened the top and found the heater control board front right (I think) laying on top of the drum. The plastic hooks had broken off leaving it dangling.
Secured the control board and no more errors, machine is working. I'm guessing that it was bouncing around near a large screw in the drum which may have caused the grounding error?

BTW: I ordered the heater element from this site and received it in 22 hours from submitting the order. What a great experience. Thanks.

Just had the same error code, and found this web site during a search, presto, it was the board rubbing on the drum, appeared one of the plugs was aslo loose. Zip tied back up and now on my second load. Thanks everyone for the help. Wish I had found this site the other day, had to order parts for my Dad's washer from another site, not anymore.

Thank you TheOjerk ... I opened top and found heading control board flopping around ... one of the connections (blue) had actually come undone. That fixed my problem.
