my ice maker makes ice, but very slowly. freezer may not be getting cold enough, even on max setting. sometimes food in fridge freezes a little. any help greatly appreciated!

well, I hate to point out the obvious, but if your freezer isnt getting cold enough, thats the cause of the ice maker not making ice, since it wont make ice if its not cold enough in the freezer, to prevent a waterfall inside y our freezer.

well, since you failed to give any specifics about your cooling issues, I am unable to give any ideas, saying its not cooling is like saying your car doesnt work. Include thermometer readings, any noises, or symptoms that you can think of, then maybe I/we can help.

The first thing you may want to do is clean the condenser (on the back of the refrigerator) and make sure the fans inside the freezer and next to the compressor are working properly. Check if there is a frost build up on the rear panel inside the freezer.
