I have a Maytag Neptune Dryer; Serial No 13237003UZ; Model Number MDE300AYW. It doesn't run at all. I checked the power cord breaker etc. It is a newer house so I am pretty sure it is the dryer. What is the problem?

If the interior light does not work then you have to check the door switch first. If it has gone bad then nothing will work. Also check the circuit breakers for the dryer. Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag Neptune dryer Model MDE5500AYWHappy New year! Gene.

The Light Does Work In The Dryer, Open Its On, Closed Its Off. The Circuit Breaker Has Power On Both Sides

In that case the control board probably has gone bad. The Service Manual will help you to diagnose and/or replace the control board. - The part number for the control board is AP3882440 Gene.

I have a Maytag Neptune Dryer model mde5500ayw that will not start. It is receiving power. Interior light comes on and the control panel lights up but the none of the buttons on the control panel will respond. I had a similar problem over a year ago but it was just the on/off button that wouldn't work all of the other controls responded. I replaced the circuit board and everthing was fine. This time do I need to replace the console itself or the circuit board again ?
