I have checked the seal with a dollar bill and it is tight all around. when you look at the front of the ref./ freezer the freezer door is lower at the top by about 1/4 of an inch. can this be adjusted? and is this the cause of the door opening?

Try to tilt the cabinet more toward the rear. Here are the break down diagrams for the Frigidaire refrigerator Model FRS24WRCW1 Gene.
