I need to replace the ice bucket shelves (left and right). I've found the part that I need to order, I think. Part # AP2072170 & 1.

In my freezer, the broken ice bucket shelves have a rivet to another part that covers the ice maker motor, or something. How will I unattach the right ice bucket shelf that is still riveted? (Do I just break the plastic?) How do I attach the new ice bucket shelves at the rivet? Do I need to replace this cover part too? Do I need to use a rivet too? Can I use a screw?

The connection to the cover part appears to be an important connection due to the fact that it is the only connection to the rear of the freezer preventing cantilevered ice bucket shelves from the left and the right of the freezer walls.

Thanks for any help,

Windy

Hi Windy,

Can you refer it to the break down diagram, using the reference numbers?

Can you post a pictures of the old shelves?

Gene.
