My Maytag top loading washer (mod#pavt 234aww) has been getting progrssively loader during the spin cycles and gradually leaking more water over the past few weeks. The water leaks are greater during larger loads and lmost no water leaks with the small load.
After observing the leaks with the front cover off, it appears water is comming from where the bottom of the tub connects to the transmission shaft. I assume the loud spin cycle and the water leaking are interconnected problems . I am hoping that replacing the tub gaskets(2) and seal will solve the prolem.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
