Everything in the freezer is starting to defrost. Ice cream is getting soft, ice is starting to melt, etc. Refrigerator seems fine. what next?

Remove the back cover and check to see if the compressor is running. It will be hot and make a distinct humming noise, and the small diameter tubing will be hot.

Removed back panel and compressor is running and is hot. The fan under the freezer is also running. Ice cream is gettiing softer and frozed waffles are starting to thaw. Steaks are still frozen but I don't k now for how long.

Probably a bad compressor or refrigerant leak. It is covered under your 1 year warranty.
