My old ice maker stopped working (no water in tray). Earlier I had purchased a complete new unit as a precaution for exactly this possibility. I unscrewed the three screws under the support tray and one at the back of the tray that seems to connect thr tray to something. The ice maker appears to be loose, but I cannot remove it from the tray. It appears I need to remove the power cable from the right side of the tray. Do I need to unplug the frig to do that safely or do I only need to turn off the ice maker switch? Also I noticed that there are some sort of clips on the plug on the new unit. Is there a secret as to how to release those clips on the old plug? Thanks for your help.

Thanks to the illustrated instructions provided by Gene, I was able to install the new icemaker. The instructions answered the questions I had and provided the tips needed to release the tray. Thanks again, Gene.
