I found the problem was that the heating elements had burned out , I could get to it but can not figure out how to get the old one out I know it must be simple but its surrouned by a metal frame and I am afraid if I try to remove the cooling element from the frame to relpace the heating element I will lose my freon ? Do you have a simple solution to my delema thanks Ed

Ed, Every one of the two heating elements is secured to the reflector (#37 on the diagram) which is secured to the evaporator frame with some clips and/or brackets. You can carefully bent some fins on the evaporator if it's needed. - The defrost heater assembly Part number: AP4070699

Thank you that helped a lot, I kept trying to remove the brackets but they don't need to come out that makes it much easier thank you Ed
