My dishwasher will not drain. I have tricked the unit into thinking the front is closed and i can see water being moved around in the bottom of the tub when i put it in drain mode. I have a repair man out, he spent VERY little time and said my "pump" was bad...$ 350.00 repair. Does it seem resaonable that i might have a pump (i am assuming drain pump) bad and still see water moving when in drain mode? I have found a drain pump from your company for the great price of $ 59.42, now that is the kind of markup that someone might get rich from if i were to hire the repair service. I cant imagine it being an hour in repair time. What are the common causes of water standing?

Most common issue is clogged drain hose or candy cane the part that connects to the end of the drain hose.

Here is a video that explains how to access the drain motor and clean it out more often than not that's all that needs to be done.
