I have a GE Nautlius Dishwasher (Model GSD3650). Sporadicly and without warning the tank does not fill with water. Sometimes the first cycle works fine and the others do not. Other times the first cycle does not work but the later cycles are fine. Typically all cycles get some water, but not enough to fill the tank. If I manually fill the tank with water the dishwasher works fine. If I unlock the latch and re latch the door occasionally, but not every time the water starts again.
I have reviewed your forum and narrowed by problem to one of more of the following:
1. Bad water valve inlet; 2. Bad/sticky float; or 3. Bad float switch.
I checked the water valve with an ohmns meter and it appears to be working, but I am really not sure. I examined the float and it does not seem to be sticking. I do not know how to check the float switch, any suggestions?
My question is where do I start. Do I replace the water valve or the float switch first? Or is there something else that I should be considering?
Please give me your thoughts. Thank you.

You might check the condition of your water supply valve. They are usually gate valves with rubber seats. Sometimes the rubber deteriorates over time and pieces of rubber can clog the inlet. Those pieces of traveling rubber might be the reason for your insufficient water flow and the intermittence of your problem.
Just one idea.
