Is the icing on the bottom side of our freezer -- inside the refrigerator compartment -- due to a loose freezer gasket? We just ordered a new one. Will that solve this internal-icing problem?

Are you talking about a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer section?

The icing is in the refrigerator compartment -- on the ceiling of that compartment (which is also the bottom-side of the freezer). It's less of a sheet of ice and more of a small mound that drips from the middle down on whatever's underneath it in the refrigerator.
