I need to separate the inner metal drum from the outer plastic shell on a front-loading LG combo washer dryer. Got the whole thing torn down, but can't do this last bit. The shaft from the spider comes through the hole in the main bearing, but how do I get it out without damaging? I suspect a broken spider. Thank you.

Done. It required a hammer and a magazine to cushion the shaft. Now I need to know how to remove the inner bearing.
