When the dryer is turned on cold, the ignitor glows brightly and the flame comes on. From then on when there is a call for heat there is a ratchity/clicking sound the ignitor glows brightly but there is no flame. eventually the ignitor turns off, the noise continues the cycle repeats with no flame and no heat unless the dryer temperature goes back to cold.
