Ive had this dryer for about 2 mos, never had a problem til now. Its making a strange noise, hard to explain. When we took the dryer, the original owner said the only issue he ever had with it was the drum had to be put back on track, which he did and it worked just fine. I have the washer and dryer, and the previous owner took immaculate care of both.
My bf took a look at it and said it may be off track again. But we cannot figure out how to get the top off so he can look at it. He's very good at fixing things, but cant figure this out. Ive tried to get the manual, but all searches take me nowhere!
The dryer heats just fine, its just the noise.
Can someone help?
Thanks!
Wendy

Remove the two fillips screws from the bottom of the front panel, remove the panel and drum support frame, then remove belt and drum. Probably a bad roller AP4038738, Oil all bearing surfaces of rollers and idler pulley with oil part #55191
