Hello, I just replaced the thermostat switch in this fridge about 10 days ago. It worked great! Then 2 days ago it completly warmed up and thawed out. so I unplugged it for 1 day and tried it again today. ran it for about 4 hours and there was no cold at all. it seems to be running. or atleast making the running noise. where do I start. I feel comfortable getting voltage readings and such I just am not sure where to begin. Thanks mark

See if the compressor is running at all, the condenser fan can mask the sound of the compressor... If it's attempting to start but isn't you may have a faulty relay or bad compressor...

Hello, thank you for rthe reply andsugestion. to check to se if the compressor was actually running I put my hand on the side of the compressor and fest to see if it actually made a vibration. there was a click shortly after the fridge was turned on an no apparent vibration. then a nother small click, I think from the box on the side of the compressor and still no vibration. As simple as that sounds would that be "testing the compressor" ? Thanks for any further help

That box on the side of the compressor is where the relay is, sounds like the relay is bad. remove the cover and remove the relay. The relay is the device below the black and white device. Take it off and shake it, if it rattles it's bad.
