I have an old kenmore 10 (made for Sears) fridge. it has the same/similar setup as:
Unit parts replacement parts for General Electric GMS10AAMALWW Refrigerator | AppliancePartsPros.com

about a week ago it started to not cool. It cools enough to get about a 1/16 of an inch of ice crystals on a 5 square inch patch of the Evaporator assembly then it thaws out and then starts over again.
every time i check the fridge, the compressor is running and the ice crystals have already melted and the Evaporator assembly is cold to the touch.

Im not sure what i need to replace?
the Temp Control isn't in the greatest shape, it has a lot of calcium/mineral buildup. so i'm thinking of replacing that.

as for the SUPPORT CONTROL BULB, what exactly does this do?

any help in solving why it's not cooling would be appreciated.
