As the topic says, I have a Maytag Atlantis that seems to cycle through the steps properly, but the only thing it will not do is spin. The motor does run while the spin cycle is active, but the tub is still the entire time. I am not able to spin the tub by hand.

It has been squeeling for a while now at the end of spin cycles and wonder if that may have anything to do with it. I am suspecting the thrust bearing needs replacing but am looking for a little more advice.

Thanks in advance,
Ken

More information: I am able to spin the belt on the bottom of the unit both ways and the agitator spins with it. How is the tub driven during the spin cycle?

Thanks,
Ken
