I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner II which I purchased in March of last year. It currently will not operate and no type of response is seen when pressing any of the buttons with the exception of the cancel button, which drains the already dry tub. I have found the schematics in the kick panel and followed the directions for the disconnect of the ribbon cable. the outcome was a bad control. My question is what control exactly is it talking about? The control box or the console assembly?

Probably it is the control board. The console they usually call "Key pad".
