frame between the fridge and freezer is alwayse very hot, fridge will stay cool but not cold and freezer gets cold but wont freeze. anybody know what might be wrong and if its worth fixing. thank you .

Often a hot frame is dirty condenser coils or the condenser/compressor fan is not running correctly.
I would check them first.

If OK you may have a defrost problem or low freon.
