Freezer works fine but out of the blue the refrigerator is warm. Would you tell me the order in which you check out the possibilities ?? Are Amanas (this model in particular) known for a common failure relative to this problem ?? Poking around online leads me to suspect the damper control. It sounds like the defrost timer is another suspect. No visible frost in freezer but I haven't pulled the rear cover inside the freezer. Hoping to avoid that. I can't find my model when I search the site. I did find this: Controls replacement parts for AMANA ARB190ZCW Ref - Bottom Mounts | AppliancePartsPros.com which appears to be similar. Before I start taking it apart & unknowingly screw something up I thought I'd ask: How do I get to the damper control ? The diagram leads me to believe these parts are inside the fridge mounted on the top. And how can I test the parts to see if good or not rather than buying a new part I may not need ? Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Search of the site gave me model not found but another look revealed the model listed under my post.
Same picture as the one I posted the link to above.
Got the covers off without breaking anything. Managed to drop the little spring down the throat going down to ?? Where did that spring end up ?? And will I be able to retrieve it ??
And I see the two parts I asked about.
Rest of the original post still applies.
