I just recently had a problem with my Kenmore Series 70 gas dryer.

I noticed that the ignitor heats up and ignites the gas flame for the first two ignition cycles, after that, it doesn't fire up anymore. I see the reddish glow of the ignitor heat up, but then I hear a click and it starts to heat down without igniting any gas.

Any ideas?

that sounds similar to what my gas dryer was doing. mine only went one cycle though. it woul heat up and then cycle off then the ignitor would heat up again but no flame. I replaced the selenoids and it works fine
