A refrigerator that we use only in the summer seems to freeze the lettuce and sometimes other food. When it is real warm the freezer frosts. We have been told 2 things...the defrost timer is bad and the damper door is stuck open. Any ideas? Thanks so much for helping us with this.

I would measure the freezer temperature, may be higher than normal. If it is running constantly, and the freezer temerature is not below like 10 degrees, you have a refrigeration system problem for a pro to look at. Either that or a clogged condenser, or bad condensing fan motor.
