Hey everyone,
I just bought this from my sister, and I'm finding out why she got rid of it. The only thing left for me to fix on it is the ice door flap. The spring gave out, and it's not sealing anymore. I can't figure out how to get access to it, though. How do I get the front panel off so that I can change the ice door?

The front of the dispenser will pop off of the front of the dispenser housing. You can use a screwdriver to prize it off. Then there is a housing that is held on by screws remove it. Once done you will have access to the flap. Typically it will not be the spring it will either be the solenoid is rusted or the flap is curled up (no longer flat). If the solenoid is rusted replacing the solenoid will only be a temporary repair. I can’t tell you how long it will last but it will do it again unless you replace the doors (both the fresh food and the freezer doors) or the doors have been replaced. Peel back the door gasket and if there are screws behind the door gasket the doors have not been replaced. The problem is the doors leaked air causing the solenoid to sweat (along a lot of other things) this will eventually cause result in a rusted solenoid. If the flap is just curled up replacing the flap is all you have to do. Refrigerator repair guide
