While baking potatos (4 of them) the microwave stopped dead. It appears it could be a fuse (hopefully). We can do the repair but can't locate where the fuse is. Can anyone help. I called GE - they are useless - I downloaded a schematic drawing with numbers next to parts but no index telling me what the part is or where it is located.
Help!!!

You have to have an Ohmmeter to check some parts for continuity. Very likely the microwave has to be removed from the cabinet for the troubleshooting and/or repair. Let us know when you ready.
The model number you posted is incomplete. Verify and repost it.

We had a power outage over the weekend. When the power came back on the micro and stove did not come back on. I know the power source is OK. the oven light works and I checked the micro outlet. I am guessing therre was a power surge when the juice came back on.
Help?

Microwave GE JVM2070SK manufactured Dec. '05 Range GE JGS905SEKSS " " " " Sounds very strange. A power surge could kill control boards or/and blow fuses, but the ignition for the range surface burners should work. I would double check the voltage at the wall outlets. Make sure there is 120 VAC. Gene.
