Yesterday I was slow cooking at 225 degrees for an all day cook of ribs. When we came home the control panel buttons did not respond and the temperature just showed the 5 rather than the 225. The display only showed 5. The oven was working though. To turn it off we had to go to the circuit breaker box and flip the switch. When we did the oven beeped over and over so we turned off the breaker switch. It seems like we need a new control panel. The Jenn Air person said maybe a timer too. Any suggestions and any shared knowledge of how to repair this would be greatly appreciated as I have no oven now. The model # is ww2780w double oven white Jenn Air convection oven.

It beeps so we haveto turn it off by the circuit breaker.
On the display it was set to 225, only a 5 showed.
None of the buttons workrd so we could not turn it off or change the temperature or set the clock.
I am thinking it is the control panel??

Okay, I went and did the same thing as yesterday and it is doing the exact thing again. Beeping OVER and OVER. The clock screen is blank. Just black. No buttons work except the light button does work.

It looks to me like the first failure suspect is the main (transformer) relay board (#10 on the diagram) because it supplies power to the clock and the heating elements for the upper oven. There is a small chance for the clock/timer and a very small chance for the control panel (touch pad) to be bad as well. Unfortunately there is no a service manual or wiring diagram available for such old oven. I would start the repair from the relay board replacement. - The relay board Part number: AP4284825

But the oven was working fine. The heating element for the upper oven worked. Just the control board went dead. We thought it was the control board. Why would it be the relay board if the heating still worked? Where is the relay board located? If we replace the contol panel will it fix the relay board? We are trying to do this ourselves.
Thanks, P

Does the heating element go on as soon as you turn the power on?

No because I cannot turn it on. The panel buttons do not work now. The heat did not go off. The heat worked fine. We had to turn the oven off by turning it off at the circuit breaker box because the buttons on the control panel did not work. Now we can not turn it back on because the buttons do not work. This makes us believe it is the ontrol panel. Not sure about the clock/timer. We ordered the control panel and will try that and if that doesn't do it we will order the clock/timer. Based on the fact the oven was still working I don't think it is the relay panel from what you said. Any other suggestions? Will keep you posted. The panel hopefully will be here tomorrow.

Possible you are on the right track, but the blank display is confusing.
