The ice maker makes ice however, when the ice comes from the ice maker, the ice cubes freeze together on the way into the box containing the ice. It makes a large ice ball. I checked the water line and it is clean and not clogged. Any suggestions? Thanks,

Hi Blum,

Remove the front cover from the ice maker. You'll see an adjustment screw on the right side of the ice maker control module. Turn this screw CW for about 180°. It should decrease amount of water coming into the ice maker.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Amana refrigerator Model ARS2663AW

It might be that their is an adjustment needed as suggested or it might be that the water valve itself is overfillling the icemold, the copper plate mounted behind the ice makers main drive wheel is coated with carbon buildup from arcing over time. Or the calcium/lime buildup in the water valve is causing it to over fill or it simply is leaking like an old faucet. What is happening is somehow water is dripping slowly onto the ice cubes and sticking them together. You must determine the cause buy using the suggestions posted above Kimosabe. Bon Chance mon ami!:D:D
