my freezer does not defrost. i have replace the defrost thermostat and the defrost heater element. yet the freezer still does not defrost. i removed the cover from the evaporator with the power on and observed the heater element glowing yet the evaporator was not defrosting. what is left that i am missing? thanks for any help.

It may take 20 minutes to melt a lot of frost, you may have a buildup of ice in there that needs to be manually defrosted.
