I have a GE Refrigerator that has quit dispensing water out of the door. It appears that I still have water to the ice maker. Could my problem be that the water valve assembly has gone bad?

Take off the grill (kickplate) at the bottom of the doors. under the freezer door you will see a waterline that is connected to a union. Disconnect the water line from that union connector by pushing in on the white ring and pulling on the hose. water will come out of the freezer door side line, but just a little bit. Now make sure the freezer door is closed and push the arm in like your getting a glass of water, if water comes out the hose you disconnected, then the water line in the door is frozen, if no water comes out when calling for water, then we will procede....keep me posted

I checked out the valve and it was good. I removed the front kick panel and disconnected the union and discovered ice in the line. I will have to replace the union because when I put it back together it leaked, but that fixed my problem. Thanks for your help.

I have a ge refrigerator model #GSL25JFTA. It was purchased in 2006. The Water Dispenser does not work sometimes. The Ice Maker is working and dispensing.

I took off the front grill at the bottom of the refrigerator and disconnected the water line. No water came out of the water dispenser.

Now what? Other suggestions?

Thanks.
