I have an Amana side-by-side refrigerator. The ice maker is producing only a small amount of ice. When I remove the ice bin and put it back, this seems to initiate the ice making process, but still only a little ice is made. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Gene. Hi, Gene. The freezer temp is 8 degrees F. I manipulated the ejector blades and more ice is being produced, but some of the cubes are hollow. As I watch the process, the hollow cubes appear to be coming from the right side of the unit(my right as I am looking inside the freezer). Cubes being ejected from the left side of the unit are pretty much solid.

Normally the temperature in the freezer suppose to be between 0°F - 5°F. 8°F can slow down ice cube process.
Remove the front cover from the ice maker and turn the adjustment screw (on the side or the ice maker) CCW for about 90° to increase the amount of water coming into the ice maker.
Gene.
