My side by side refrigerator is about 5 years old. I've never had a problem with it until now. The freezer side stopped freezing then the refrigerator side stopped keeping things cold. This ocurred in one day, not over any length of time. I removed the panel on the back and the fan is turning and the compressor feels warm to the touch and appears to be working?
Im not very mechanically inclined. Does anyone have an idea of what the issue may be?

Thanks.

Open the freezer door and check if the fan in the freezer works.

If it does, remove the rear panel in the freezer and check how the evaporator (cooling) coils are covered with snow. Normally it should be about 100% covered with thin snow. Post the results.
