Hi Mark, Most likely the problem is a bad water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator. - The part number for the water inlet valve is AP3160649 Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool refrigerator Model GD25DFXFB01Gene.

Hello Gene, Thanks for the advice. Can you tell me the reason behind, how a broken water inlet valve causes the water to freeze in the inlet tube. thank you Mark

Because it did not shut water off when it should. Water keeps running slowly and freezes up in the tube.
Gene.

I am also having the same problem of ice freezing in the tube feeding the ice maker in my Estate (Whirlpool) model TS25AFKQ03 (2003). I am also leaking air from the ice door. Are the two problems related?

. Possible you missed one letter? Sounds like there are two problems with your refrigerator. The first problem with ice freezing in the tube feeding the ice maker very likely caused by a faulty water inlet valve and has nothing to do with the ice door. In order to fix this problem, the water inlet valve would need to be replaced. The water inlet valve Part number: AP5263471
The second problem with the air leaking from the ice door very likely caused by broken ice door spring or door pin. In order to fix this problem, the ice door kit would need to be installed. The ice door kit Part number: AP5985152
It also has the repair video. Good luck. Gene.
