My washer doesn't seem to want to spin during the final cycle. The belt looked fine so I figured it was the motor so I ordered one thru GE. The new one looks similar (they said that this the updated replacement part) BUT the wiring harness is different. The original plug in is flat and the new motor is square. The new motor came with another harness but the ends are just cut and bare.
I looked at the replacement motor on this site and its the same one GE sent. If you look at the picture, you will see a pic of the wiring harness.

My question is...do I have to re-wire this whole thing to replace the motor? There's got to be an better way???

Any suggestions?

Well, I got the motor in, but it didn't fix the problem. It still does not go thru the spin cycle.

Any ideas? I think the only other major part is the "Transmission and Brake assembly". Could that be it?
