Unplug the dryer, and then pull the filter out. Then remove the 2 phillip head screws. Then get a putty knife and slide it under the front on the right side about 2 inches from the end, and you will hit a clip, that will release the top on that side. Do the same on the other side. Now push the top back, and rest it on the back wall. Now look inside the the front of the dryer. Up top on the right, about 6 inches down, and there is a 5/16s screw. Remove it, and the one on the other side. Now lean the front towards you a little and unplug the door switch harness, and now grab the right side of the front, and pull up quick, and kind of hard, and the bottom of the front will release from the clip on the cabinet. Do the same on the otherside, and you are there. Now that is how to take off the front. But the first thing I would do is take the back off the dryer, and you will see a white part about and inch and a half long, by a half inch wide, and has one screw holding it in place, and has 2 wires coming to it. Make sure the dryer is unplug, and take the 2 wires off of the part, which is called a thermal fuse, and put the terminal ends of the wires together, and put some tape around it so it does not hit metal, and plug the dryer in and see if it works. If it does, DO NOT RUN THR DRYER with that part jumped out. It is the only part in that dryer that pervents the dryer from burning down your house. If it does not work, it is either the ignitor or the flame sensor, which is mounted on the side of the flame tube. Let me know what you found. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
