I have a Kenmore HE3 gas dryer. The unit is approx. 5 years old and has been running like a champ up until now. When the unit is programmed and the Start key is depressed the unit beeps 3 times quickly and the Time Remaining light simply blinks continuously - the unit does not start or give any indication that it has even tried. No error codes appear and the manual does not give any information on how to even obtain an error code (what buttons to push).
Can this be a fuse? The lights are blinking and power is obviously reaching the unit. Could it be the main board? Is there a button sequence that can be sequenced to get an error code to display?
Thanks in advance.

If you take the bottom panel off, and then open the door, and pull the lint filter out, on the black lint filter housing there are a few 1/4 inch screws to remove, and you can then pull the filter housing out of the way, and you will see the thermal fuse. That could be your problem. Jump it out if you like, and see if it works. Make sure the dryer is unplugged when you do it, and put some tape around the terminals, so they do not hit metal. If it does, Do Not Run the dryer with the thermal fuse jumped out. It is a saftey. Also if it does work, check the air flow to the outside of the house, you might have a clogged vent. Let me know what you find. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
