About a week ago, I smelt burning rubber coming from the washer. I took off the front cover and saw the belt had slipped off. I figured it was the original belt and it just needed to be replaced. Ordered another and got it today. Put the new one on and less than one wash, it was broken.

So what should I look to replace? I have a feeling the the tensioner may be the culprit, but I cannot be certain.

Thanks for any help!

Ok, found the answer. I went ahead and took it out to fiddle with the washer. Turns out the transmission leaked some oil. It would turn one way, but not the other. Time for a new washer!
