This gas dryer worked fine until last week. The repairman is stumped. He checked the thermistor, coils, radiant sensor, replaced the high limit thermostat and the main board. There is good air flow. What else could it be?

Can you be more specific on the problem? The flame cycling "on" and "off" if it stays "on" for a certain time is normal.

Sorry about lack of detail. It stays on at most 2 minutes before shutting off. It seems to burn for about the same amount of time each time before shutting off. It acts the same in timed mode or a selected cycle like normal or towels.

Two minutes "on" looks pretty normal. How it drys?

It does not dry well at all. The inside of dryer never gets more than lukewarm. Some times the burner only stays lit for 20 or 30 seconds. We've run it with the vent off and it blows good. There are no visual indications of any blockage at the exhaust port nor when you pull the lint filter. I even pulled the lint filter and ran with the same results.

If there is no air flow restrictions then the problem most likely is a bad thermistor.

- The part number for the thermistor is AP3866842
