Our freezer has a vent hole in the back top right side of the freezer. This vent hole blows warm air when its not working. If I unplug the freezer for 10 seconds and plug it back in, it will work for another 5-8 hours, blowing cold air. I have cleaned off most of the dust build up on the coils. The frigde works fine.I have electronic background and I'm confident I can repair this problem (with a little help):)

You may have a compressor shutting down, also plug that hole up in the freezer wall. Next time it fails check the compressor, if power to it and no run, you have a failing compressor, please check and post.

Never saw a freezer with a vent hole unless it's for the ice maker line and they are plugged without an ice maker.
