Dear Pros,

Help! I've read the thread re the GE motor sticking. But I don't know if my model can be fixed like that by moving fins. I took the bottom plate off. But all I see is a black iron motor? and no fins...unless the fins are inside the front open parts. Am I looking in the right place? Or do I have a funky motor?

Thank you! :-)

Those pins are in the front part of the motor (look at the motor on the diagram). If it would not help then the whole pump and motor assembly has to be replaced, or you can try to install a new impeller and seal kit.

Hi. I also have similar problem where my dishwasher hums all times when I switch in on and water runs in but doesnt drain. No washing either. I tried to look at the motor but seems more like K_kodiak. My GE model #GSD2200Z05WH. Would you be able to say if this motor has fins? All I can see is black motor with small holes in front.
Tx
