Replaced a GREAT working GE microwave-- with a whirlpool MH3184xp SI
had problems from the first week on. We changed to stainless
steel --- should have kept the GE. Door switches went out of
adjustment, Repairman said case was to thin so he pulled
out on the latch and it began working!! Now we have power to every thing switches work, lights work, but when pushing the start button there's a (click) and the fans run--soundslike its working but NO HEAT!!!! So Whirlpool is a greatlooking microwave, but don't count on it. Repair man not sure so wants to replacemagnetron, diode, and TCO, we paid $60.00for this shotgun diagnostic expertise. The cost to (REPAIR) $396.00 The micro is 2 years and 2 months OLD ,MFG DATED
Sept . 05 We changed all of our appliences to stainless Whirlpool. Is there any help, we have not repaired so-----PLEASE HELP!!
 At that price we could buy a new microwave.

We have a 2005 Whirlpool Gold microwave that has worked ok until Christmas eve . . . it failed to turn off at the end of a timed cooking cycle. We unplugged it and tried it again, but it continues to run. The repairman is scheduled for tomorrow . . . from your experience it doesn't look good. Consumer reports rates one of the Whirlpool's as "good", but their products have been disappointing. :(

Mr. Muller,
Thank You for your reply.

We are sorry that you are not satisfied with our response.

Unfortunately we are unable to look into exchange unless an unit was deemed unrepairable by an Authorized Service Technician. Our warranty is for repair only.

We apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you.

Thank You,

Nicole F.

NICOLE,

HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOU HAD REPLACED YOUR GOOD WORKING GE. APPLIANCES
WITH STAINLESS WHIRLPOOL, ONLY TO HAVE THE PROBLEMS WE HAVE HAD IN TWO
YEARS?
YES, LOWE'S OFFERED 10% OFF IF WE WOULD SPEND $400.00 FOR A NEW SAME
MODEL MICROWAVE. WITH ONLY TWO PEOPLE USING THE MICROWAVE FOR TWO YEARS,
THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT. THIS WAS ONLY ONE REQUEST IN---
I'M SURE THOUSANDS OF OTHER WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCE OWNERS' EMAILS EACH WEEK
HAVING PROBLEMS!

THE PR AND RETENTION OF A LONG TIME WHILRPOOL OWNER SHOULD OUT WEIGH THE
SMALL COST OF REPAIR. WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO RECONSIDER OUR REQUEST WITH A
MORE REASONABLE SOLUTION.

THANK YOU, RON MULLER
