Hi, This is the second time this problem has occurred. The last time I called in a service man and he knew exactly the problem and replace the part very quickly. I am hoping to do the same by myself this time. All the controls work on the touchpad but the oven does not get hot. The service man replace the steel, pencil shaped part on the back of the oven wall. I think this is the safety sensor # AP3083985 Does this make good sense to you?

Quote:All the controls work on the touchpad but the oven does not get hot. Someone will need to observe exactly what the oven gas burner ignition system is doing at the time of failure. Your oven uses a 'hot surface' (glow ignitor) ignition system. You read read about how they work and what tests and observations are necessary to start diagnosing problems in them at the following link: LINK > Understanding Gas Oven Ignition SystemsQuote:The service man replace the steel, pencil shaped part on the back of the oven wall. I think this is the safety sensor #AP3083985 That is the oven temperature sensor which works in conjunction with the electronic control. Quote: Does this make good sense to you? Usually when the oven temperature sensor fails the electronic control will display some sort of error message. Is there one displaying? Is not, the sensor is unlikely to be the cause of your current problem. JMO Dan O. www.Appliance411.com The Appliance Information Site=D~~~~~~
