are both thermostats the same, or server the same function in this dryer.
I replaced them both with a non adjustable I225 thermostat. I would like to know if this was a mistake.

The short answer to your question of was this a mistake: Yes

You need to have the 225 on your heater assembly, the other one 155 on your back of your dryer.

Here are your parts.

Since you have the 225 you only have to order to other one.
