I have noticed black particles in some ice and upon inspection, the black paint that the ice maker is painted with is peeling off the aluminum at the control end of the ice maker. Is this a special paint of just an gloss black enamel? I can take the unit out and properly clean and prepair the aluminum base for painting but I want to know what the proper paint type to re-paint it with is. Thanks,

I've always thought it was Teflon to help with ejecting the ice.
