Hi this is such a well run forum...

Couple of days ago I noticed my freezer was heating up and found out the condesor fan was not working. I quickly ordered a new fan and replaced it. Everything seemed fine however, 48 hours later the same problem occured. The fan has stopped working and the freezer temp is climbing. What do I have to replace next? What is making the condesor fan not run? I hope I don't need a new costly fridge. I appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks.

I would also like to add that the door frames heat up beyond normal. I was told I need a new control board, sold on this website as part # AP3775406. Could anything else be the culprit?

The hot door frames are probably cause by the lack of a working condenser fan. If you're getting the proper voltage at the fan the fan should run. If no voltage then it could be the board.

Hi, in reply to your answer. I think the board is faulty and have ordered a new one. I can't seem to find the location of the electric board in my fridge. Where is it located and is it easy accesible? Thanks.

Hi, I thought it was part 19 in diagram 12. I can't locate this part in my fridge. I am looking for the wrong part?

If you do have both in your unit I don't know which controls the fan etc. I will try to find out.

Here is your wiring diagram
https://www.servicematters.com/d...heet%20-%20W10142175.pdf

Looks like the fan control is on the Electronic Control board.
This would be Item 19 in Section 12.
The wiring layout shows that this board should have 6 connectors on it and it does.

Item 6 in Section 3 is probably the Dispenser Control board.
Wiring layout shows it should have 3 connectors and it does.

Have a Kitchen Aid Model KSCS25INWH01, the repair guy who came our when our hot door panel and warm freezer started said the thermostatic switch that turns on the fan had carbon on the contacts possibly from arcing. He said he cleaned the contacts but that it may work for three days or 3 years and when it finally went it would mean replaceing the board. It lasted over night. I never saw where these contacts were exactly myself. I ordered and replaced the whole board (grey box) which looked to have overheated with a possible capasitor leak and it worked great as long as I kept my little house hold fan running behind the unit. I finally got my replacement fan today and hooked it in and it still won't run. I see the fan get power for about 1 second after the compressor starts running but doesn't even make a full revolution. Could that thermostatic contact be somewhere else that controls the fan? How long should I expect to wait until the fan should run? Wife is gettin a little ticked, any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Great forum, gonna have to keep this one bookmarked ;)

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

I have no idea what the tech was referring to.

Try the diagnostic for the condenser fan.
If you have 120 volts and the fan is not turning then your replacement is defective.
