Lower element is inop. Oven LED flashed f10 one time( has not dosplayed this again). I pulled lower element and checked for Ohms;has continuity. Have not checked for voltage at element. Should I go straight to the switch and have a look? Do not have a book. Thanks

That is suppose to indicate an overheat condition in the oven. That could be produced by erroneous readings from the oven temperature sensor or the oven actually overheating.

I don't know that just a visual observation will tell you much. Actually testing to see if the electronic control is powering the bake element circuit will likely need to be done to confirm whether the control is responsible or not.

I can only see either the control, the bake element or the wiring between them being responsible. There should be no other components in the circuit which could cause your symptom.
