I recently moved and another dryer was in use in the house.
It seemed to take to long to dry so we put ours in and ours is around 4 years old. It worked fine before the move.
We put it in and have the same problem.
I noticed a little bit of water coming from the vent in the wall. it has been raining recently. Could the vent be clogged? How can i get to it to fix? Is it hard to do?

Thanks in advance...

Verify the vent is not restricted and the connection hose from the dryer to the wall connection is not folded over itself behind the dryer. As long as the dryer is heating, the long dry times are from a vent restriction. You probably notice the clothes are very hot, but remain damp to the touch.

Ya there was some amount of lint in the vent. Not enough to make me think it was blocked tho. The vent goes nearly straight up to the roof i believe. Could there be a blockage up higher? I felt wrist length in and nothing was there except some at the entrance and it was wet.

Try the next dryer load with the vent off the back.Just crack a window open to get rid of the moisture inside the house.
