I need step by step instructions on placing a three progg power cord, thus, I have never done this before. Thank you:)

Why do you need to replace the power cord?

Pull the dryer off the wall. Remove the cover (#8 on the cabinet break down diagram). You can see now the terminal block (#12 on the cabinet break down diagram) with the three wires attached coming from the inside of the dryer (red, white and black). The white wire (neutral) should be in the middle. Remove one nut from each terminal and put the the terminals from the power cord on the terminals on the terminal block. The middle wire (neutral) from the power cord should be attached to the middle terminal on the terminal block. Screw back on the nuts and tight them as much as possible. Install the cover back in place and you done. - The part number for the power cord is AP2615176 - Here are the break down diagrams for the White Westinghouse dryer Model DE400JDW1Good luck. Gene.
