Need to replace the motor coupler on my Model 80 washer. Not sure of the right procedure..do you remove motor & trans as a unit? Have 3 trans mounting bolts out,but doesn't move more than 1/2inch..don't want to force anything. Any advice would be helpful.

First word of advice: Stop! Put the tranny bolts back in and let's start at the beginning. Here is a video which will show you how to replace the coupler. Note: You do not have to remove the water pump, just tie it off to the left. If you do remove it, be prepared for a flow of water when you unhook it. Let us know how it works out.

Unplug washer. What you need to do is remove end caps on the console. Then remove the two screws. The console will then be loose enough to rotate up and back. You will see a brass colored clip on both sides of cabinet. Remove clips. There is a wiring harness to unplug from cabinet. Then you tilt cabinet forward and slide off of machine. At the bottom of machine you will see the pump. Remove the two clips holding pump to motor. Slide the pump off of motor. There are two clips holding motor to transmission. Remove screws that are in those clips. Unplug wire harness from motor and then pop those clips off of motor. Then you are there. Be sure to tap motor coupling onto shaft of motor and transmission untill flush with end of shaft.
