Washer spins, but water is still in tub. Washed rug which lost some shag. Am sure problem is in water pump, but cannot figure out how to open pump to remove contents which are causing problem. Same problem happened a couple of months ago and repairman charged $120 to come out and remove shag from pump. Please help.

Well if you can lower your drain hose to get most of the water out of washer do so. Or bail it out. or you can cut off water to punch by pinching the hose.
you have to takr front panel off. to get to pump. pinch water hose to pump. then take hose off remove pump. clean pump and reinstalled.

Washer is fixed - it was the hose going out of the water pump to the drain that was stopped up. I assumed it was the hose going into the water pump. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
