Thanks: 2 times
While replacing the microwave light bulb, I have messed up something else. When I power up the appliance, it shows PF for about 60 seconds and then beeps 3 times before displaying E1 F2. It stays there and none of the keys work.
The Parts list for this model is here.
The error code chart says "Keypad keytail not connected". I had not removed this part.
I'm looking for information or video to figure out how to safely remove and re-seat this cable and get the keyboard working again.
EDIT: I have figured out how to remove the ribbon cable by lifting the two latches on each side. I cleaned the cable and secured it back in but am still getting the same error code.
Not sure what to do next. How could a working keyboard stop working by the microwave light bulb replacement I did?

Hi,

A copy I found...
F2-E1
The keypad has an internal error or shorted key
The keypad is defective, The user interface is defective, Wiring issue between the user interface and the keypad

E1F2 and F2E1 are the same thing.

I will search for more....but this is all I could find right now.

Thank you, Jeff. How do I determine if it is the keyboard or the ribbon cable?

The key board/touch panel and ribbon are the same thing.....all in one together.

Microprocessor board is NLA :(
Black and stainless key panel is NLA :(
White key panel is NLA :(
Almond key panel is NLA :(
Biscuit key panel is NLA :(

None of the consol board/key panel parts are available any more.

Looks like where the ribbon enters the board, 2 tabs must be sqeezed to release the lock and the key panel ribbon can be pulled out of the board. Could try cleaning off the ribbon end with a pencil eraser to make sure the connection is good and clean.

I hope one of these linked here will help.

Sorry couldn't help more,
